Poker players come in all shapes, sizes and genders, and one new Poker player who is making the rounds in celebrity Poker challenges is proving this exactly. Jayde Nicole was the Playboy Bunny of the year in 2008, and while she’s best known for gallivanting with Hugh Hefner and skimpy bikinis between appearances on MTV’s show the Hills with boyfriend Brody Jenner, she’s also proving that she’s somewhat of a poker maven. The Playboy Bunny has been participating in a number of celebrity Poker tournaments, including Poker Stars Million Dollar Challenge where she played in a televised event a couple of weeks ago against Poker pro Daniel Negreanu who she claims is her favorite Poker player. This might just be because he’s the most recent pro she’s come in contact with, but she also attributes it to the fact that he’s down to earth and lacks an ego that many other professional Poker players have, and he’s also a fellow Canadian. Jayde Nicole claims that her interest in Poker began through her participation in boyfriend Brody Jenner’s hosted poker tournaments and she began to hone her skills by doing the All in Magazine Project and receiving mentoring from the likes of Jamie Gold, and David “The Maven” Chicotsky. She’ll even have the opportunity to be taught by her favorite player, Daniel Negreanu. In addition to participating in celebrity events, the Playboy Bunny is also taking her new found skills online to participate in weekly tournaments, and she’s even had a few decent wins to her name. I know what you’re all thinking – how well can a Playboy Bunny really do at the table right? Well, according to Jayde Nicole, this is a common perception; she claims that the men all want to take her under their wing while the women just can’t seem to her seriously. Despite this she doesn’t plan to slow down, she’s participating in the Poker Stars Caribbean Challenge this January and is getting involved in Ante Up For Africa Events. What do you think?
