Resilient Bucks Salvage First-Round Matchup | IXGAMES

The Milwaukee Bucks managed to stave off elimination in Game 4 and 5 with the Chicago Bulls. Suddenly, the upstart squad is an NBA betting option worth consideration. Milwaukee’s a 300/1 long shot to win the NBA Championship, but they can still wreak havoc on the betting lines until their presumed elimination. If this feisty club of wild cards is going down, they’re not going quietly. They’re 46-35-1 ATS. Chicago, a legitimate Eastern Conference threat, is sitting with 9/1 odds in sportsbook for winning the championship. After winning the first three games of the series with Milwaukee, it seemed that they would be cruising into a second round tilt with Cleveland. Fortunately, the playoffs are never predictable. Between the improved play of midseason acquisition Michael Carter-William and the stable leadership of top scorer Khris Middleton (17.8 PPG during the postseason), Milwaukee has made waves in 2014-2015. Those waves may not culminate into anything more than an exciting first-round exit, but for a young team building for the future, that’s much better than a sweep. Find out if the team can beat the odds all over again on Thursday.
