Online betting company Bet-US has professional poker player Phil Ivey to be the favorite to make it to the final table of the 2007 World Series of Poker Main Event. Once again the World Series of Poker will take place at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas from July 6th-17th, 2007. Besides Phil Ivey, other poker pros expected to make it include Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, along with Chris Jesus Ferguson. Last year amateur Jamie Gold took home the $12 million dollar purse. Gold is a former Hollywood agent turned poker pro after he defeated 8,772 players to win the 2006 World Series of Poker Main Event last summer. BetUS has Jamie Gold at +6500 to make the final table this year. Im lucky in life, my whole life has been fortunate, Gold said. Every single great thing thats happened to me Ive been really grateful. Maybe I was lucky. I dont know how you can beat 9,000 people without being lucky. It is anticipated that over 10,000 poker hopefuls will pony up the $10,000.00 to buy a seat in the greatest poker tournament in the world in 2007.
