Bruins Favored to go Ahead 2-0

The Boston Bruins drew first blood in their best-of-seven series with the Toronto Maple Leafs by scoring a 4-1 win in Game 1. The Leafs were outscored, outshot and outhustled, and the oddsmakers are expecting more of the same in Game 2 where the Bruins are again a big favorite. The Maple Leafs have had a tough time with Boston recently as they have now lost 12 of the last 17 meetings between the teams. They’ve particularly struggled with the matchups in Boston where the Bruins have won seven of the last nine get-togethers. The Bruins are a tough team to beat at home as their 16-5-3 record at the TD Garden rated second best in the Eastern Conference this season. That spells even more trouble for Toronto, who has now lost five of their last seven overall. Making matters worse for the Leafs is that their track record against winning teams this season isn’t particularly strong. They have just seven wins in 21 tries against teams above .500. Their 22nd such matchup is set for Saturday but they’ll have to buck a number of trends to get the win. Join Bovada, make your first deposit and instantly receive a 50% Bonus up to $250.
