College Football Odds: Star Studded Razorbacks Try Out New Coach | IXGAMES

Life in the SEC West is hard enough without a brand new head coach, but the Arkansas Razorbacks won’t have that luxury in 2012. Still, considering the alternative, a year of trying to live up to lofty NCAA odds while putting up with the off-field dramatics of former head coach Bobby Petrino, it’s not exactly the worst case scenario. In senior quarterback Tyler Wilson, the Razorbacks have a potential Heisman candidate, but he won’t be their only weapon. Joining Wilson in the headlines will be star running back Knile Davis and top performing receiver Cobi Hamilton. Between the three, the notable absence of Petrino’s impressive offensive strategy won’t be quite as debilitating as it otherwise could be. As the reigning All-SEC quarterback, Wilson will look to improve upon last year’s 3,638 yards with interim head coach John L. Smith calling the shots. The former special teams coach doesn’t make Arkansas an instant favorite on the BCS futures, but the change of pace could do the program well. After an injured 2011, Davis will look to replicate the impressive 2010 campaign that saw him rush for 1,322 yards and 13 touchdowns, giving Arkansas perhaps the most impressive one-two punch on the MLB odds.
