Habs-Sens in Battle of Riches | IXGAMES

This just might be the year the Montreal Canadiens (37-15-3-1, 30-26 ATS for plus-9.03 units) finally reclaim what they used to consider their personal property: the Stanley Cup. The Canadiens lead the Eastern Conference as we go to press, but the Ottawa Senators (22-23-5-5, 35-20 ATS for plus-11.57 units) lead the money standings against the puck line. They’ll meet Wednesday in Ottawa at 7:00 PM ET. The Canadiens are coming off Monday night’s solid 2-0 victory of the Detroit Red Wings (–126 at home). That’s the fifth win in a row for Habs netminder Carey Price, who leads all regular goalies with a .934 save percentage. It’s also his fifth shutout of the season. Ottawa didn’t fare so well, losing 6-3 to the Carolina Hurricanes (+120 away) on Monday. These two somewhat friendly rivals have split a pair of games home and away this year, but it was the back-up goalie in action for the losing team in both cases. That could be the case again for the Senators on Wednesday; Robin Lehner (.906 SV%) took the loss against Carolina while Craig Anderson (.927 SV%) sat out with a bruised right hand.
