Internet Gambling Regulation | IXGAMES
In America the proposed Internet Gambling Regulation and Enforcement Act (IGREA) has gained the support of its 46th Member of Congress -Â California Democrat George Miller. Officially known as House of Representatives 2046, IGREA was initiated by Congressman Barney Frank and would make the current Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) legislation largely redundant by regulating online gambling in the United States. Miller is a respected and distinguished politician who entered Congress in 1974 and is currently serving his 17th term. He is currently Chairman of the House Education and Labour Committee and the House Democratic Policy Committee along with being a member of the House Natural Resources Committee. His interests include retirement and health benefits for Americans, furthering innovation and technology, science and education and strengthening America’s economy to create jobs that stay in the country. He is also one of the four original authors of the No Child Left Behind Act in 2001 and is leading efforts to review the law to make it more fair, flexible and better funded. Announcing the support -Â Frank has re-emphasised how important it is for US players who want to end UIGEA to contact their political representatives and make their feelings known as this is one of the most effective ways in which support for his bill can be achieved.
