Ladies Only Event At The Bicycle Casino In Los Angeles | IXGAMES
The daughter of poker legend Doyle Brunson, Pam Brunson, took home the title at the Ladies Only event at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles. As part of the *Legends of Poker* series that is currently ongoing and will culminate this weekend with the WPT Championship event, the Ladies event is in it’s second year as a charity fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast-cancer research. The casino donated 15 percent of each $1000 buy-in to this cause and the 125 participants were given special treatment if they donated to the charity. Other pros in attendance were Karina Jett, Kathy Liebert and Bodog poker pro Evelyn Ng. As winner of the event, Pam gets an invitation to play in the televised WPT Ladies Night on Aug. 31. 
Poker pros in attendance this year will be Linda Johnson, Mimi Tran, Kristy Gazes, Melissa Hayden and the defending champ, JJ Liu. The winner of that tournament gets a $25,000 seat into the WPT World Championship at the Bellagio. This makes for some very interesting discussions about gaming as possibly a genetic trait as Doyle has another kid, Todd Brunson, who is also an accomplished poker pro.
