NFL Super Bowl Overview and Mixed Feelings on the Pro Bowl | IXGAMES
The National Football League has long been the biggest and most popular professional football leagues in the world. The 2009-2010 NFL season has been extremely exciting, with teams battling it out to clinch a berth in the Playoffs and fight for a much-coveted Super Bowl berth. Now that the Playoffs have ended and the season is coming to a close, there only are two more exciting major events scheduled for the league. First is Super Bowl XLIV and second is the Pro Bowl. This article will cover some of the latest news on the Super Bowl and the upcoming Pro Bowl. Overview of Super Bowl XLIV Super Bowl XLIV will be featuring two of the league’s best teams, both of which had incredible regular season and post-season records. After crushing their opponents in the Playoffs, the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts are now preparing for the upcoming Super Bowl game. The Indianapolis Colts, who started out the season with 14 consecutive wins, will be going up against the New Orleans Saints, who started out the season with 13 consecutive wins. It has been about 16 years since the Super Bowl last featured two number-one seed teams going head-to-head, which is why Super Bowl XLIV is definitely set to be an amazing game. These two offensive powerhouses are set to give NFL fans a Super Bowl match to remember and if you want to see a good football game, then you should definitely tune in for Super Bowl XLIV, scheduled for February 7, 2010 at 6 p.m. Eastern Time. Mixed feelings about the Pro Bowl Before the Super Bowl on February 7, the Pro Bowl will be held on January 31, 2010. While pretty much every NFL fan is excited about the upcoming Super Bowl, especially the Colts and Saints fans, there seems to be mixed feelings about the Pro Bowl. Because the Pro Bowl will be held before the Super Bowl, the event will be interfering with the Saints’ and Colts’ preparation for the Super Bowl, which has the teams and some of the players upset. Fans, however, are likely much more excited about the Pro Bowl, because for the first time in 30 years, the Pro Bowl will be held on the mainland, instead of in Honolulu, Hawaii, where the match has been based since 1980. This year, however, the Pro Bowl will be held in Miami, Florida, attracting a sold out crowd that is expected to exceed 70,000 spectators, the largest crowd since 1959. The move to Miami has also gotten some players rather upset, because many of the Pro Bowl players look forward to having the match in Honolulu, after the Super Bowl, when they can relax and spend the vacation with their families. However, the Pro Bowl will go back to its original venue after the 2010 game.
