PAMELA ANDERSON YOU CAN'T POKER ANY MORE | IXGAMES
BBC’S Panorama was agog last month at the explosion of online gambling in Britain, with internet poker sites mushrooming. What’s there to be surprised about? Online poker has so many things going for it – aside from the huge-breasted dolly birds who front it – that it can only grow. For a kick-off, it’s great value because there is no house edge to overcome. Second, unlike your average Chelsea match, there’s a distinct element of skill involved, with players competing directly against one another (and most of them are bearded virgins living at home with their mum who wouldn’t know a good hand if it smacked them in the kisser. The blokes are even worse). And third, you can get to call yourself great names like Delaware Dave and Mississippi Mike, even if you’re a four-eyed accountant named Kevin from Crawley. But not everyone is poker-mad. Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson, who last month filed for divorce from hubbie Kid Rock, has shut down her internet poker business, Pamelapoker.com (pokeapamela.com was presumably already taken). She told her official website: “I made a mistake getting involved in something I know nothing about for a quick buck.” Like marriage. And acting. Pammie’s marriage to Kid Rock was so short-lived that the pair are now arguing over who will get custody of the cake.
