The Beast Race Ready to Grow Wilder | IXGAMES
(Press Release) San Jose, Costa Rica – September 24, 2013 – It looks like The Beast might need a bigger cage. Leading online poker site Americas Cardroom today announced that beginning October 1st, The Beast progressive points race is moving from a monthly race to a twice-monthly event. The new Beast races will occur from the 1st of the month and run through the 15th, and from the 16th through to the last day of the month. The shortened competition means online poker players will have more chances to climb higher on the progressive points race leaderboard. With bi-weekly races Americas Cardroom expects to increase the payouts significantly and also reward their players more frequently. The Beast cash payments for the top players will now take place on the 5th and 20th of every month. The new twice-monthly format beginning on October 1st also means that players will now have the opportunity to participate in two large-scale Beast Tournaments every month. Americas Cardroom is famous for its Beast tournaments, in which players can win a spot in by ranking on the Beast leaderboard. The new format means that Americas Cardroom will host tournaments on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month. Americas Cardroom has also announced a reload bonus code “EASY200” to coincide with the promotion leading up and into the beginning of the first bi-weekly race. The bonus will be a 100% up to $200 that can be redeemed 2 days before and 2 days after the start of the 1st bi-weekly race. A different reload bonus will be announced prior to the beginning of each race. These allows players a consistent timetable to reinforce their bankrolls. “The Beast has been insanely rewarding, handing out over $1.8 million in cash and tournaments seats since launching,” said Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. “Next month, we’re taking things to the next level with an enhanced format designed to reward more players, more often.” Anyone who sits down at a cash table marked Jackpot automatically becomes part of The Beast competition by earning points through participation in a raked hand. While more points are earned at higher stake levels, everyone participating in the same raked hand earns the same number of points—regardless of how much rake they contributed to the pot.
