Unbeaten Falcons Still Iffy on NFL Odds | IXGAMES

The Atlanta Falcons are in a class of their own this season, the last of the NFL’s 32 teams to have hung on without a loss. Now, at 6-0 through Week 7 they’ve established themselves as contenders on the NFL moneyline, but there’s no guarantee that come December they’ll still be chasing perfection. This Sunday they’ll try their luck against the Philadelphia Eagles. According to Bovada’s NFL oddsmakers, the Falcons have 8/1 odds of winning the Super Bowl. That means that five teams ahead of them, each of them with at least one loss, sit higher in the eyes of bettors and critics heading into the final half of the regular season. A win over the 3-3 Eagles would be far from ground-breaking, but certainly wouldn’t hurt their chances when it comes to Atlanta establishing themselves as true Super Bowl XLVII contenders. The Eagles, struggles and all, have 40/1 odds on those same NFL futures. If Matt Ryan and company can hang on for a seventh straight win, don’t rule out a bump up the moneyline for the Falcons. Don’t, however, get blinded by perfection when choosing between them and some of the other contenders the league has to offer. Raise your NFL game with a different sportsbook
