If Stafford can continue to stay healthy (no small task given his still-shaky track record), the Lions could find themselves creeping closer to the top of the Super Bowl futures as the regular season looms. He may not reach the 1,681-yard mark he set in 2011, but the impact of his mere presence on the field is enough to give Detroit an added boost on the NFL moneyline. Although the Lions are never going to convince anybody that they’re a rushing organization, having competent men like Best up the middle helps keep defenses honest.
