Most of us were introduced to Shannon Elizabeth during a scene in the film “American Pie”. it took a while for folks to catch on that she is also a first rate poker player. Shannon first raised the eyebrows of the poker playing public when sent a shiver through the tables at GQ and Calvin Klein’s 2nd Annual Celebrity Charity Poker tournament. Due to some rather clever play, Elizabeth finished the event in a very respectable 6th place. Her winnings were donated the Peace Games. I just love playing poker and its even better to win for charity, Shannon says. 
Shannon was born in 1973 in Houston and raised in Texas, where many poker players got their start.
