Dave Michaud heading to World Series of Poker
A DeBary man is getting a chance to win millions in the world’s largest poker tournament.Dave Michaud, a computer systems administrator, recently won the Amateur Poker League’s national championship with a pair of tens in a Texas Hold-em tournament. His $10,000 prize pays his way into next month’s World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Michaud grew up in South Florida and attended the University of Florida, where he played against dorm mates. He has a wife and two children, and he says his goal is to be a professional poker player. DeBary is about 25 miles north of Orlando.
