Donald Trump fires James B. Perry
James B. Perry -Â president and chief executive officer of Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc., has been fired in a management shake-up by Donald Trump. Perry will be replaced by Mark Juliano, who will assume the title of acting chief executive officer. Juliano had been chief operating officer under Perry and was second in command in the Trump executive ranks. The change comes as Trump Entertainment considers a buyout offer by an investment group led by former Atlantic City gaming executive Dennis Gomes and New York real estate developer Morris Bailey. Perry, who took the top position in 2005, angered Trump with his cross-country commuting between his California home and his office in Atlantic City. He helped oversee Trump Entertainment’s turnaround since emerging from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2005, but the company’s financial progress was slower than expected. Trump, during his 61st birthday celebration at Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort on Saturday night, announced that Juliano had been promoted but declined further comment. Juliano, appearing surprised by the announcement, also declined comment.
