NETeller delay refunds to its U.S. members
NETeller U.S. members will be unlikely to positively receive the latest information according to which the payment processor will further delay refunds to its U.S. members. *The Company believes that these and other recent developments will likely delay its efforts to resolve the investigation by a short period.* NETeller said on Thursday in a note to the London Stock Exchange. Recent developments concern NETeller co-founder and former director John Lefebvre who pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiracy in connection with his role in NETellers prior involvement in handling financial transactions between gambling customers in the United States and offshore internet gambling businesses. The other co-founder, Stephen Lawrence, pleaded guilty to a similar charge on June 29. *Other than as shareholders, neither Mr Lawrence nor Mr Lefebvre has any current position with or connection to NETeller.* The note said about the two mens current involvement with the company. NETeller had initially announced it would begin the refund process on or about July 13. However todays note hints to possible further delays. NETeller U.S. members had their funds frozen on January 2007. NETeller said that a further update will be given later!!
