International Poker Open
The International Poker Open (IPO)  has a very specific goal beyond running a successful event this October: they want to be the largest European poker event in history. They have a lot of competition from past and future events, however, with the 2007 Irish Open holding the current record with 708 players and the upcoming World Series of Poker Europe certain to draw huge crowds. The IPO is planning for up to 1,000 players, banking on the low entry fee of €150 to entice the players in. The International Poker Open will be held on Saturday and Sunday October 6-7, 2007 in the Royal Dublin Society Shelbourne Hall and the Jackpot Club, Dublin.
