Irish Poker Open will host a Ladies Event
Expect a long week festival of poker at the 2008 Irish Poker Open …..but there will be something new…… for the first time since the event started in – 1981 - the Irish Poker Open will host a Ladies Event. Ladies - here is your chance – just you and a table full of women !! The Irish Open Ladies event will open up on Friday. The event will be €330 no limit hold’em freezeout. Head of Poker over at Paddy Power Poker, Nikki Newman, is thrilled to offer this event this year, citing inspiration from Irish women players such as Colette Doherty, Irene Tier and Jenny Heggerty. 
There are a few other side games going on in addition to the €3 million garanteed main event, inclidng a *scalp* game where poker players can collect bounties and cash in on them at the end of the game.
