2009-2010 NFL Season Expectations
The 2009-2010 NFL football season is just beginning (NFL GUIDE), and expectations are high as some teams have undergone huge changes. It’s been predicted that some of the strongest teams in the National Football Conference this year will be from the Eastern areas of the country, like the Eagles, Giants and the Cowboys. After last year’s rivalry and close competition between the Eagles and the Giants when the Giants took the NFC and the Eagles with the wildcard knocked the Giants right out of the semi-finals, the competition is certain to hit up against this year, and both teams have undergone some big changes. The Eagles made headlines by recruiting Michael Vick as their quarterback almost immediately after his release from prison where he served a sentence for running a dog fighting ring. Before Michael Vick rejoined the NFL as the Eagle’s quarterback, the team already had a strong offense, and now with this addition the Philadelphia Eagles are definitely going to be strong contenders to the Super Bowl. The Giants, however, are going to be prepared to give the Eagles a run for their money since they’ve recruited Hakeem Nicks, a receiver from North Carolina who’s been high-rated in the NFL. Unlike perhaps their biggest competitor, they also have suffered a loss that might affect them this season, with the loss of Plaxico Burress. Other teams that we’re not going to underestimate in the 2009-2010 NFL football season are the Cowboys, Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers. With Tom Brady leading the Patriots once again this season, and the Steelers or the Ravens might just give them a run for their money. Of course, as the season begins everyone has a different perception when it comes to who might take the Super Bowl 44. Some are rooting for the Miami Dolphins, who had a rough start during the 2008 season but managed a big comeback after adding a new head coach and quarter back to lead them to 10 victories. Others believe this might be the year for the San Diego Chargers, once seen as a doormat in the NFL. Whichever team you support, the competition’s just heating up, so it’s time to start planning your weekly football parties complete with beer, nachos and buffalo wings so you can support your team, and if you’re so inclined, place a few wagers to show your loyalty! And you can do that on Bodog Sports Book.
